Flagship Patriot Jet Boat

Standard

Visiting sunny San Diego? Local Californian? Whether your a local or a visitor there are tons of ‘must do’s’ to take advantage of in this beautiful city. From hopping over the border for a day trip to Tijuana (famously known as TJ) to roaming the exciting neighbourhoods like Little Italy, Liberty Square and Old Town. If your looking for a fun water sports adventure I would suggest checking out Flagship and all the tours they offer! But obviously the best one is their incredible fast and super soaking patriot jet boat ride!

Whip around at high speeds of 50mph in this turbo charged boat that does 360 turns. Sit at the back for a wet ride! We got absolutely soaked, while everyone at the front got sprayed! Get a quick tour of the downtown core, gorgeous skyline of the city, harbour, and pass by the U.S.S. Midway Aircraft Carrier, the North Island Naval Air Station and head under the Coronado Bridge while your at it!

Choose from 7 different times a day. Or they have tons of other experiences! They have Dinner cruises, Harbour cruises, Hops on the Harbour are the beer dinner cruises, Spirits at Sunset cocktail cruises, whale watching and special event cruises like Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentine’s and New Years.

San Diego Speed Boat Adventures

For the second year now I was able to go on the Speed Boat Adventures again, it’s amazing!

What a better way to see the city then flying around on a little speed boat on the water! You’ll get to see stunning views of the downtown core, the gorgeous skyline of the city, cruise around the harbour, hug the coast peppered with sail boats, pirate ships and USS navy ships like the Midway.

This adventure is a must if you love the water, carving around at full speed, zooming in the wake of the others and getting some air on some jumps. I got to drive the boat for half the trip and couldn’t stop smiling and laughing as I cruised around at full speed with the other boaters.

This company is amazing because it’s so simple and easy! Just register for your selected time and date and how many boats you’d like, or share one with a loved one or the family. Then just show up, grab a life jacket, get a quick demo and your on your way! You’ll have a tour guide in the front boat leading the way and speakers to hear them give you some interesting facts along the way!

You’ll love this adventure, and even get to see some sea lions! There were a ton of them around the fishing boats, and some were even waving to us! Oh and guess what! This company is in Tampa, Miami, Charleston, and Sydney Australia as well! So check em out if your over there! Coming soon to LA and San Fran too! Check out their GoCars and iRides as well! Todo Bien Tours

Standard

Looking to explore San Diego like a local? Check out Todo Bien and their tours that include half or full day, brewery, winery, public or private tours! Let a local take you to the hidden gems of SD so you can eat, drink, relax and party like the locals do. Their laid back tour bus is comfy and welcoming with water, snacks, beach gear, and a cooler full of ice so you can BYOB and enjoy some drinks throughout the tour! Perfect for bachelor and bachelorette parties, a family adventure, a girls getaway to the wineries in Mexico, a guys trip to the breweries.

We had a relaxing day checking out Torrey Pines with a short hike down to the beach to take a dip and enjoy the coastal bluffs. We enjoyed some delicious chorizo con huevo at an old school Mexican joint downtown called Las Cuatro Milpas, worth the wait! Saw some amazing views and homes in La Jolla and enjoyed some rooftop cocktails at a local spot in Ocean Beach.

Their guides are super friendly and knowledgeable, and great at accommodating to make it the perfect tour for your group, even if your traveling alone! They also have paragliding tours if your feeling really adventurous! Find out more here;

Visiting San Diego? Love craft beer? With over 100 craft breweries, I highly suggest going on a Brewery Tour. Brewery Tours of San Diego was our first adventure of the week and the ultimate way to get around town to try some fun and exciting beers at some killer breweries while making new friends. Choose from a variety of public tours or book a private tour for a special occasion! They have day and night tours every night of the week! Here are your tour options;

  1. Brews & Views – this one is a morning tour offered Monday to Friday with visits to Amplified Pacific Beach, Pizza Port Ocean Beach an Eppig Waterfront Biergarten.
  2. Hip Happy Hour – this one is an evening tour offered Monday to Friday with visits to Fall Brewing, North Park Beer and Mike Hess Brewing.
  3. Saturday Champion – they have a morning or evening tour option with visits to Ballast Point Home Brew Mart, Coronado Knoxville St. and Karl Strauss Columbia St.
  4. Sunday Afternoon – this one takes you a little further with some fun spots like Green Flash Brewing, Gravity Heights and Societe Brewing Company.

Each of the tours include transportation, a meal at one of the stops, all your tastings and a fun souvenir glass! Your driver is also your guide so they can teach you about the beer making process, give you suggestion of some great brews to try and they’ll ensure you have a fun time with a designated driver!

We went on the Saturday morning champion tour and it was amazing! We loved the swag at Ballast Point, the food at Karl Strauss but our fav was Coronado Brewing with a great location and amazing beers! We were joined by a couple and some ladies and by the last stop it was if we’d all been friends the whole time! I would definitely suggest trying a tour with them while your in San Diego. A must for sure! Find out more here;

San Diego – What to do – Part 2

During my most recent visit to my second home I was able to go on a ton of adventures as I acted like a Tour Guide, and some of them were absolute musts that I had to share.

Adventure #1 – Padres Game at Petco Park

Take me out to the ball game! No, really, please do! Nothing like taking in the life of the locals like joining them at a San Diego Padres baseball game! This is an absolute must while visiting this exciting city. You’ll get to experience hours of fun and excitement from the food and drinks, to the riveting ball game to the exciting energetic atmosphere.

Petco Park is my favourite baseball field and is known as ‘The Worlds Best Ballpark in America’s Finest City’. It boasts over 40,000 seats and is a host to the Padres since opening in 2004. With colouring that depicts the cliffs, beaches, oceans and white sails of San Diego. It has a stunning view of the San Diego skyline and bay. I love the Western Metal Supply Co. it was actually scheduled to be demolished to make room for the park but they incorporated it into the park which is amazing, and looks great! Your lucky if your there for a home run as you’ll hear the ships whistle and see some fireworks! So exciting!

There are tons of area to check out like the Western Metal Rooftop, Picnic Terraces, Pacific Porch, Premier Club Patio, The Landing, Skyline Patio, Budweiser Patio, Left Field Deck, Jack Daniel’s Old No. 7 Deck and Terrace Lofts, Tower Loft, Toyota Terrace, On Deck, Foul Pole, Garden Level, and Premier Club Suites.

They have over 40 spots to grab food including their Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill, Ballast Point Bar, Cutwater Spirits Rum Bar, Lucha Libre, and more. Grab anything from Pulled BBQ Pork Fries, Oysters Rockefeller, Slugger Dog and even PB&J Nachos. Not to mention they have 86 beers from 30 different breweries! That’s perfect for us Craft Beer lovers.
